Festival Format
Your band’s experience will consist of
You will warm up in one of the music rooms at Neuqua Valley High School.. After the warm-up session your band will perform two songs or 15 minutes whichever comes first. You will receive a clinic on stage at Neuqua Valley High School from one of the two clinicians who heard your performance. Bands must perform using the traditional stacked horn setup, and will use the PEBB bass amp, guitar amp, drum set, vibraphones. Students must bring their own cymbals and Latin percussion. There is a PA for solos and vocals. (Setup and teardown time is not included in this 15 minute period.) Keep in mind that the shorter time you play, the longer you will have in your private clinic.
Your band will receive clinician comments of your performance via email.
Students will also be able to attend a master class with the guest artists during the morning or afternoon, which will be given by the guest artists or members of the Pete Ellman Big Band.
