Entrance forms may be submitted online beginning at 9:00 a.m. CST on Thursday, January 9, 2020 and will continue until all 24 performance spaces are filled. An online registration link will go live on this website at 9:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2020.
Our festival’s purpose is to provide a noncompetitive educational experience for ensembles, and/or “second” ensembles from high schools and junior high/middle schools with more than one jazz ensemble. These ensembles often have little opportunity to perform outside their school district, benefit from the comments of great clinicians and hearing a professional big band. No director should disqualify their ensemble from participation in our festival because they feel they might not be good enough! EVERYONE WHO ATTENDS IS A WINNER!
Ensembles must have 12 or more members.
A waiting list will be maintained and posted for groups that enroll after all the performance spaces are filled.
Participating schools may bring an additional ensemble. In order to provide a festival experience for as many schools as possible, a school's second band will be accepted only after registration has been received for the first band. Registration for second bands will open on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 9am. Priority for remaining performance spots will be determined on a first come, first serve basis.

Participation Fees:
Each ensemble entry has a $450 fee to help cover your ensemble’s clinic expenses, auditorium performance, master classes, and tickets for the guest artists performance with the Pete Ellman Big Band at 1pm.
NOTE: Ensembles that withdraw after FEBRUARY 14, 2019 will forfeit half of their entire entrance fee. DO NOT SEND YOUR FEE UNTIL YOU ARE BILLED.
